The mural was part of the “Text-tiles: Embroidery on clay” exhibition which took place in Stockholm on January 2023. In the translation and reworking of traditional fabric patterns into the ceramic surface, the mural is an exploration of the relationship between folklore and contemporary. Through shifts in color and context, the composition highlights aspects of the historic source imagery and encourages a new dialogue in painting and ceramics.
